Research at the Stockholm School of Economics includes a number of research centers that focus on specific topics and areas of interest. These centers bring together researchers, students, and external partners to develop knowledge and engage with business and society.

Flexible research environments

Research centers are often organized around particular themes, industries, or societal challenges. They provide flexible environments for collaboration across disciplines and between academia and practice, allowing research to respond to emerging questions and needs.

The centers support both research and outreach. They host projects, seminars, and events, and often work closely with companies, public organizations, and other partners. This creates opportunities for knowledge exchange and for applying research in real-world contexts.

Through their thematic focus and collaborative approach, research centers complement the work of departments, institutes, and research houses, strengthening the School’s overall research environment and external engagement.
